In a story from her youth, the mystery woman tells of a trip across Europe in the closing days of World War II. She slowly reveals her trials and tribulations as the ship moves along the four rivers it must cross to sail Europe from the Black Sea to the North Sea, from Istanbul to Amsterdam. At each stop and along the way, the stranger reveals details and clues that send Dee and friends scurrying around in the present and plodding through the past following a timeless story of war-torn intrigue. The story becomes even more real as the past merges with the present and Dee and friends scramble to survive an ordeal that began more than seventy years ago.

Sail along with Dee Sanders and friends as they cross Europe on a month-long river cruise. The sights and sounds from the present and the past are revealed by an elderly fellow traveler they meet along the way. Jump back in time to late World War II and see, hear, and feel the dilemmas and dangers that befell the mysterious stranger at each port of call. It’s a long way from Istanbul to Amsterdam.

The Dee Sanders Series is a fast-paced, high-intensity event for everyone involved. Dee and his friends started out on a cruise. It was all supposed to be relaxation and frolic, fun in the sun, and then it wasn’t. A hard month and some hard times on a deserted island, followed by a big monetary reward, and now they are friends for life. Having developed a taste for adventure, or having it follow them wherever they go, our group explores the possibilities of the world around them as they sail about the globe.
